Barcelona to END Yusuf Demir loan … and youngster set to return to Rapid Vienna
Barcelona ‘END Yusuf Demir loan’, highly rated 18-year-old set to return to Rapid Vienna, as cash-strapped Xavi side go against permanent 8.5million deal pounds … and now Dortmund are interested in the winger
- Demir has made nine appearances in all competitions since joining Barcelona
- Wonderkid will return to Rapid Vienna next month and his loan will be cut short
- The 18-year-old is attracting interest from several Bundesliga clubs
Barcelona will seek to terminate prodigy Yusuf Demir’s contract and cut his loan period short by one season, say sport.
The 18-year-old has already been reported to be on the sidelines as the club seek to avoid paying a £ 8.5million release clause in the players’ contract which would mean signing him for a contract permanent, if he concluded one more appearance.
The Austria international has featured nine times in all competitions since joining from parent club Rapid Vienna, and one more is said to trigger the charges. Barcelona had the option of signing the player permanently in June, but will choose not to execute him.

Demir featured for club in impressive Champions League in draw against Benfica
A third of his appearances have only resulted in 15 minutes of football, his latest appearance being Bayern Munich’s 3-0 defeat in the group stage earlier this month.
Prior to that, the much-loved star had played just nine minutes in the 3-0 win over Levante in September, before playing just two minutes in a 1-0 win over Espanyol last month.
Demir entered the scene under the guidance of former head coach Ronald Koeman who gave him the chance to shine during the preseason. After impressing, the youngster was accelerated from Barca B to the first team.
The Austrian was not familiar with Xavi, however, but the striker impressed in the 0-0 draw with Benfica at Camp Nou in the elite European competition, hitting the crossbar in the game.

The Austrian is a target for several Bundesliga clubs ahead of the January transfer window
Several Bundesliga teams are interested in his services, with Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt all leading the youngster.
Demir will likely join the squad that are ready to pay the ⬠10million (£ 8.5million) release clause in his contract in January, with Rapid being ready to let him go, as he pursues the first team football.
Barcelona are set to have a busy January when it comes to spending, as Demir, Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti are also in surplus compared to needs and are expected to leave.
